Junior
Fighting - Premier Event
Saturday, October 23, 2004
Rexplex Sports Complex, Elizabeth,
NJ
Congratulations
To All Of Our Junior Fighters!
Congratulations to all of
the courageous fighters who competed in the premiere event of
Junior Fighters on Saturday night at Rex Plex in Elizabeth,
New Jersey. Participating were representatives of Derek Riddick's
Gym, Borodin's Gym, Eternal Martial Arts, Family Martial Arts
and Team Tiger Schulmann.
All of these junior fighters displayed great courage, talent
and determination, making
this first
event, a great night of excitement and fun. The younger fighters'
exhibition bouts (for those under age 12) were just terrific.
Their focus and spirit, kept everyone captivated throughout
the night.
We especially congratulate the brave fighters who competed
in the three (judge) scoring bouts of the night. Dimash Nyazov
(of Borodin's Gym) fought well against John Kimock (Team Tiger Schulmann). John
landed good punches and Dimash threw great kicks. Both fighters were aggressive
and fought hard throughout the three round bout. Dimash was declared the winner
by unanimous judges decision.
Daniel Lorentz
(Team Tiger Schulmann) was fast and hard hitting against Michael
Fedderman (Borodin's Gym). Michael kicked
well and drove in good knee kicks at close range.
However, Daniel's speed and accuracy prevailed, landing a
number of high scoring shots and winning the bout.
The final (judges) scoring match between Mike Fortes (Team
Tiger Schulmann) and Uri Yarmush (Family Martial Arts) was pure
excitement. Both demonstrated great talent and drive,
giving the fans an action packed bout. Uri's
kicks were extremely good and Mike's punches were extremely
hard. Although Mike kept pouring it on, Uri landed effective
well scoring hits, winning the fight.
We are proud
of all of the Junior Fighters who competed so well at this
premier event. We thank them for providing such an exciting
and fun night of competition, and we thank all of the fans
for coming out to support these great kids. All of
the competitors left this event as true winners. Be sure
to be on the look out for our next Junior Fighters event. |
